Known for his acting in such films as “Full Metal Jacket,” Mathew Modine is turning to directing with a new short film called “Super Sex,” in which his daughter Ruby Modine co-stars with Ed Asner. He admits to TODAY that it was “awkward” directing his own daughter in her role as a prostitute (even though, he points out, many actresses have won Oscars in similar roles).
